A rush of wind is all it takes to send the sky falling, well at least the leaves from the giant tree that hangs over the front yard. I woke up this past Saturday to a carpet of leaves covering the entire front yard and my car. A few years ago I thought that I would let nature take care of itself and allow the leaves to decompose into the grass. That's really not a good idea (kind of smelly and slimy when they get wet). So this year I headed out with the plastic rack and began nudging the leaves towards the road where the big, bad mulcher comes and sucks them up. Now the pile of leaves behind the car is almost has high as the top of my car trunk. I just wish that the looming snow was as light to move to the curb.
